Not sure what's next?
Let's work it out.
coaching for people who feel stuck, are considering a change, or simply want their work to make more sense.
My role isn't to tell you which career you should choose and I won’t hand you a list of jobs that supposedly match your personality. It's to help you understand what you're good at, what matters to you, what you want more and less of, and to figure out together, what might realistically be possible.
We'll look at the practical stuff too: your experience, strengths, values, interests, confidence, opportunities and any barriers that might be getting in the way.
And because I've spent years on the other side of the interview table, I can also help you understand how you come across to employers, where your strengths lie, how to talk about your experience, and how to approach interviews and career decisions with more confidence.
But I'm not here to turn you into a polished version of someone you think employers want.
The aim is to find something that fits you.
You don't necessarily need a completely new career. You might need a different role, a different organisation, a different way of working - or simply a clearer idea of what you want before you make your next move.
You don't have to know your next career before you start coaching.
You just need to be willing to explore the question.

a quick hello from me
I am Chris, originally from Bristol, but can now be found somewhere in London/Kent. My life is pretty ordinary, really. I enjoy getting out for a walk, going for a run, playing football when I can, travelling whenever I can and spending time with family and friends. I'm on my own fitness journey too, so I'm familiar with the fact that knowing what you should be doing and actually doing it are sometimes two very different things! Oh, and I really want to own a dog…
I've spent a good part of my working life making decisions about people and their careers. I have also changed careers, retrained, started a business.
For more than twenty years, I worked in education, eventually becoming a senior leader in a busy inner-London primary school. As a Headteacher, a big part of my role was interviewing people, assessing strengths, making difficult decisions and, importantly, thinking about whether someone was right for a particular role and environment.
Earlier in my career, I also worked in employability at a London university, supporting people as they thought about their options and preparing them for their futures.
So career coaching feels like a natural combination of two things I've been doing for years: helping people think about what's next and having a pretty good understanding of how organisations and recruitment actually work.
And I've learned that career decisions are rarely just about the job.
Sometimes you want to leave, but don't know what you want to move towards.
Sometimes you've outgrown a role that once suited you perfectly.
Sometimes you're capable of more but don't know how to get there.
You might be thinking about a complete career change, returning to work after a break, looking for promotion, dealing with redundancy, struggling with confidence, or wondering whether you're simply too comfortable to make a move.
And sometimes the question is much simpler:
“Do I actually want to spend the next ten years doing this?”
Career coaching gives you the space to explore those questions properly.
“Coaching with Chris came at a difficult point in my career, when I’d felt stuck in the same loop for months. He helped me break out of it.”
