For men who wear 'I'm fine' like armour - when inside, they know something isn't right.

Coaching built for men aged 35 to 55, who are done coasting and ready to figure out their next move.

hi, i’m chris

It’s great that you’re reaching out… I’m Chris, originally from Bristol, but these days you’ll find me somewhere between London and Kent.

My life probably looks pretty normal from the outside. And, in many ways, it is. But like most people, I've had my fair share of challenges, unexpected turns and curveballs along the way. I enjoy getting outside - walking, running, playing football when I can - with Bristol City the main passion! I enjoy travelling, spending time with family and friends, I am dabbling in photography and vinyl records are a guilty pleasure - the usual life things. I’m on my own fitness journey too, so I know that what you should be doing, and actually doing it, are sometimes two very different things!

Why I do this work?

Over time, I developed a passion for working with men at a turning point - typically between 35 and 55 - some quietly successful, yet out of sync with themselves. Some rebuilding after separation or a career shift, others navigating loss, wanting to escape from the mundane, processing a health scare, or the quiet reckoning that comes with getting older. Men who've carried it all for years, holding everything together, while feeling stuck or walking on quicksand underneath.

I know this territory well - the tingling feeling of overwhelm, the weight of juggling too much, burnout, and the pressure to look "fine" while feeling disconnected within. The hurdles that life throws at us in this stage - bereavement, illness, ageing parents, relationships under strain, identity shifts when the career or the role that once defined you no longer fits.

Underneath it all, that quiet fear: time is ticking, and life feels like it's slipping away.

My coaching is rooted in the ICF (International Coaching Federation) core competencies, thanks to training from one of the UK's leading coach training providers. But my approach isn't about fixing you or supplying ready-made answers. It's about helping you uncover your own, take an honest look at where you stand, and move toward a life that's intentional, not just endured.

I won't pretend I have all the answers, and I'm not going to give you empty reassurance either. I'll be honest with you - if something's not adding up, I'll say so, but never to judge or lecture. I've got a calm way about me, and a sense of humour that tends to put people at ease, because let's be honest, this stuff is heavy enough without both of us being serious the whole time.

The men who reach out:

Most men I work with aren't dealing with a life that's falling apart. In fact, from the outside, things can look pretty good.

They’ve built careers, raised families, taken on responsibilities and created a life that, on paper, should feel satisfying.

But sometimes the life you've built doesn't quite feel like the life you want anymore.

There might be a sense of restlessness, uncertainty or simply a feeling that something is missing. You may not have a neat explanation for it — you just know that carrying on as you are doesn't feel quite right.

And that’s usually where the conversation starts.

the men who find me are usually…

  • kllklk

    The man who keeps going.

He’s dependable, capable and used to carrying a lot. From the outside, life looks fine - but underneath, the pressure is building. His mind rarely switches off and he is constantly searching for ways to escape reality. He overthinks, keeps busy and tells everyone he’s okay, while quietly wondering “What next?” Changing direction can feel risky, especially when so much depends on him.

What he needs is space to stop, be heard and make sense of what’s going on. Coaching can help quieten the noise, bring some clarity and work out a practical way forward.

  • The man who feels life is passing him by.

Life is ticking along. From the outside, everything looks fine — but underneath, he feels stuck.

The weeks blur together. He’s not unhappy, but he’s not particularly fulfilled either. He finds himself wondering “Is this really it?” Time seems to be moving faster, while he’s simply going through the motions.

What he needs is space to step back, think and work out what he actually wants.

Coaching can help him understand what’s keeping him stuck, find some clarity and start making choices that feel like his again.

this isnt about fixing you…

you don’t need fixing‍.

I offer one-to-one coaching for men who might look like they're doing well from the outside, but feel unsettled, stuck or unsure about what comes next.

We’ll work together over an agreed timeframe, with regular coaching conversations, support between sessions and some clear things to think about or work on afterwards. We can explore different tools if you want some practical ways to manage overthinking and build greater resilience.

All of our work together is confidential, personal and focused on you.

You could be the man who has built a successful career but isn't sure he wants to keep doing it. The business owner carrying more pressure than anyone realises. The professional who can't seem to switch off. The dad wondering where the years are going. Or simply someone who knows something needs to change but hasn't quite worked out what.

You don't need to have all the answers before you start.

That's what we're here to work out together.
